Nearly nine months after the Christmas Eve fire, SpringHouse restaurant has finally been restored.
This weekend wraps up SpringHouse’s temporary home in Fanny Goldmine Diner with tonight being the final night at the diner.
Although the restaurant will not be operational for two more weeks, guests can start placing reservations to secure a spot in the fully restored restaurant. Russell Lands CEO and president David Sturdivant said SpringHouse has several employees who started working at the temporary location earlier in the year. There will be a limited number of spots available so they can acclimate to the original SpringHouse building in the first few days of its return.
For the next two weeks, the restaurant will be closed as SpringHouse employees will be busy moving equipment, furniture and working on final touches in the meantime. Ultimately, the restoration went smoothly and exactly as planned, Sturdivant said.
“All the crews did a fantastic job, and it looks fabulous,” Sturdivant said. “We had always said (the reopening) would fall mid to late summer, so it fell pretty much when we were expecting it to.”
Although SpringHouse customers continued to enjoy their favorites at the temporary location, Sturdivant looks forward to serving customers from SpringHouse.
“We’re just really excited,” Sturdivant said. “SpringHouse is such an integral part of the amenities we offer. We’ve had a lot of folks continually asking when (the restaurant) is going to open, and we’re really excited it’s going to happen this soon. Hats off to all the construction crews who worked so hard to make this happen.”
The restaurant will reopen and serve guests starting Aug. 14, and Sunday Brunch will return Aug. 18.
