(Submitted) Students at Tallassee Head Start celebrated their end of the year learning activity day on May 23, 2019 by presenting to their families what the children have learned throughout the year.

The Child Development Institute Head Start serving Tallassee Head Start celebrated its year-end learning activity day May 23 by presenting to families what the children learned during the year.

The purpose of Head Start is to promote school readiness of low-income children by enhancing their cognitive, social and emotional development in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional functioning, creative arts, physical skills and approaches to learning.

CDI Tallassee Head Start’s Jennifer Belyeu said the Tallassee Head Start Center is currently accepting applications for children 6 weeks to 4 years for the 2019-20 school year.
