Mr. Dewey Max Tindell, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at the age of 95. He was born on July 24, 1923 to Dewey Benjamin and Linnie Mims Tindell in Houston County Alabama. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Christian Church Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Faye Kindrick; sons, Steve E. Tindell and Steven R. Tindell; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren; brother, Horace “Frog” Tindell and a good friend, Joyce Davis. Dewey is preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Jackson “Jack” Tindell, Harvel Mims Tindell and his sister Peggy Lewis. Mr. Tindell joined the Navy during WWII and returned home after the war for about 1 year. He rejoined the Navy and completed 26 years of service that included WWII, Korea and Vietnam. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Jeffcoat Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
