Mr. Gera Samuel “Sam” Webster, age 75, of Tallassee, Alabama, formerly of Brunswick, GA, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019. He was born December 14, 1943. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Tallassee with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. A private burial will be held for the family at a later date at Elam Baptist Church Cemetery next to his mother and father. Sam is survived by his aunts, Charlotte N. Jordan of Oak Ridge, TN, Julie N. Powell of Elmore, AL, Jonny N. McCune of Wetumpka, AL and Jerry N. Powell of Columbus, GA; many cousins and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Gera S. and Kathlyn N. Webster. He was employed for 34 years in Brunswick, GA, at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center as a Visual Information Specialist and a Graphic Artist. In his early career he was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Dept. of the Navy and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was a graduate of Tallassee High School and Auburn University. The Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at First Baptist Church, Tallassee.
