The Elmore County girls basketball team takes down Beauregard, 31-30.
For the Panthers (9-8), Lalah Culpepper and Addi Patterson tied as the top scorers with nine points a piece. Patterson knocked down three 3-pointers paired along with her four rebounds while Culpepper added four more rebounds and a team-high four steals. Addison Hicks finished with a team-high 10 rebounds against the Hornets, but made the biggest play with the game winning basket with one second left on the clock.
On the boys side, Elmore County fell in overtime to Beauregard, 41-40.
For the Panthers (15-11), Jaden Eason led the charge with a team-high 14 points, going a perfect 5 for 5 from the line and knocking down three 3-pointers. Seth McGhee finished right behind him with 10 points on the night alongside his three rebounds and one steal. Gage Davis finished with a team-high 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Drew Knighton came away with five points, five rebounds and three assists on the night
