A recent update to the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted list has led to another arrest.
Remoan Omar Hooks, 37, of Tallassee, was recently placed on the Most Wanted list after being indicted on multiple child sexual abuse charges back in August. Hooks was indicted with three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree of a child less than 12 years old, one court of child molestation - enticing a child for immoral purposes, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of rape in the first degree of a child less than 12 years old.
According to court documents, the incidents occurred in the victim’s mother’s bedroom.
Hooks was placed on the Most Wanted list on Saturday and was arrested Monday, according to court records.
Hooks remains in the Tallapoosa County Jail with no bond available to him.
