March is National Women’s History Month where all of women’s historical achievements are celebrated. From the women who advocated for the passing of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, to the women who made great strides in their professions like Florence Nightingale, Amelia Earhart and so many more, all the women who have changed the world’s history are celebrated in March.
Here at Tallapoosa Publishers, we honored the women in Tallapoosa and Elmore counties who have made a difference in their communities through hard work, dedication and strength. From doctors, to teachers to coaches, there are hundreds of women here in our counties who have gone out of their way to make a difference in their communities.
While it is important to celebrate the achievements of women during March, it is important to honor the achievements women make every day.
Women are responsible for bringing life into this world. For nine months, women grow human life, sometimes while continuing to work and maintaining their homes. They continue to complete their day to day tasks as usual, all while bringing new life into the world.
Even after a long day at work, women come home to take care of their children — they do all the required tasks to make sure their homes are safe and warm for their families, either with or without the help of a partner. They do this every single day, no matter how they feel.
Women not only bring life into the world, they bring life into every area of their lives. Be sure to honor the women in your lives this month and everyday; you wouldn’t be here without them.
