The 14th annual edition of the Tallassee’s Community Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 24 at the Auburn University Club in Auburn.
The tournament is being coordinated by Community Hospital official Lee Greer, who was enthusiastic about the upcoming event.
“The Foundation which was created in 1991, counts on the golf tournament as our primary annual fund raiser,” said Greer, “and we grossed just over $25,000 in last year’s event. We had 28 teams, with 112 players.”
Entry fees include lunch, a bucket of driving range balls for warm-up, and two free drink tickets.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11:00-11:45, with team send-off at noon.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the team with the three lowest net scores.
Members of the team with the lowest gross score will win a free round of golf. Other cash prizes will be presented for the longest drive on hole No. 13, and the closest-to-the-pin shot on hole No. 8.
Deadline for entry is Sept. 17.
