Investigators have their work cut out for them following a Saturday afternoon shooting in Tallassee.

Officers with the Tallassee Police Department responded to an individual with gunshot wounds off of Jordan Avenue.

“We found a 22-year-old gunshot victim who had been shot through and through in the left thigh,” Tallassee police chief Todd Buce said. “It was a non-life threatening wound.”

Buce said the victim didn’t want to prosecute and there were no witnesses willing to speak to investigators about the incident. The police chief said investigators would continue to investigate the incident with the limited information they had in hopes someone would speak to them.
