Tallassee Kidnapping

Submitted / TPI The Tallassee Police Department is searching for a kidnapping vicitim, Polly Thornton, 60, of Tallassee.Her husband Steven Thornton is currently considered the suspect.

Law enforcement is looking for Steven Thornton and his wife Polly Thornton.

Tallassee police Lt. Jon Rawls said the Tallassee Police Department is working the case as a kidnapping.

“He is wanted at the moment in connection with the disappearance of his wife,” Rawls said. “Based on the information we have as of Monday evening, we believe it to be a kidnapping.”

Thornton is a 60-year-old white male and his wife is 60 as well.

The last known contact as of Monday evening was by cell phone at approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday morning.
